Afterschool Program
Craft Action’s after-school program brings creativity, connection, and community together. Through art and crafts based workshops designed by our team, students explore social, environmental, and creative themes in a fun and engaging way. Every session features hands-on, thoughtfully developed activities that encourage self-expression and inspire creative problem-solving. Activities include origami and collage-making to painting and creative challenges like our water filter design activity.
All Craft Action after-school programs are free to attend. Programs are usually weekly for 8 to 12 weeks. They often align with PTA afterschool enrichment seasons if there is existing afterschool programs at certain elementary schools. Certain sessions may include a materials fee of $20–$30 to help cover the cost of arts and crafts supplies for each student. The materials fee is waived if a student qualifies for Free or Reduced Price Lunch or if the student's household income is below 250% of the local poverty level.
Our programs are led, taught, and guided by trained high school volunteers, who share their time and passion for creativity to make each experience meaningful and accessible. All activities are pre-developed and structured by the Craft Action curriculum team, ensuring consistency, safety, and impact across every session.
